JOSH HEFT aka Hefty is the owner and operator of Hefty Decks.
He took up construction in high school where he attended the Upper Bucks County Area Tech School. Following high school he attended Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology where he earned his associates degree in carpentry and applied sciences.
From there Josh has done all types of construction from building houses to restorations and of course decks. He has been building and creating for more than 14 years.
In 2004 Josh and his now wife decided they wanted to go into business for themselves and specialize in just one area of construction. That is when he chose to focus his efforts on building decks, his favorite aspect of building.
Since then he has built over 150 decks. Josh takes pride in the details, ensuring every deck is built above and beyond expectation.
In the summer Josh likes to hire students at our local tech school who are learning the trade.
Josh was married in 2005 and since then has had 2 little girls with his wife, Tember. Tember does all the background work that it takes to run a business. And the girls like to bring Daddy lunch at work and check out his current projects. Josh and his family currently reside in Quakertown, PA
